my daughter is driving

my daughter is driving. well, kinda. she just finished driver's ed and the on-the-road lessons driving one of those cars we all love to see on the road with the "student driver" sign on the door.

she's blogging about it.

i'm terrified yet proud all at the same time. i'm hoping my four sons coming up behind her will be easier for me to deal with learning to drive. there's just something about an only daughter. most of it is all mushy. but this part is terrifying.

I feel your pain Dan. My only daughter is learning to drive. Sitting in the back seat while she drives makes the world feel out of whack.

you're scared because you remember your own early days of driving...

geoff- i haven't had to ride in the back seat yet. don't want to imagine that. i'll probably find a lot of stuff on the floorboard cuz that's where i'll be hanging out.

mom- you're probably right. but i also remember the early days of tori learning to drive - on the driveway in her power wheels car - a cute little four-year-old who simply couldn't understand to turn the steering wheel to avoid going off the driveway.
